New hours began on September 8 for the popular Curbside Pick-Up Service offered by the Yorba Linda Public Library. While the Library facility remains closed to minimize the potential spread of COVID-19, they recently announced new hours for their convenient and contactless Curbside Pick-Up Service. The service now operates Monday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed Friday and Sunday.
Wondering how the Library’s curbside service works? The process is simple. Library patrons can request up to ten available items (including books, DVDs, audiobooks, and music CDs) through the Library’s online catalog. Then, within 24 hours, you will receive an email or voicemail stating that your requested items are available for pick-up. Once you’ve received the email or voicemail confirmation, you can drive to the Library’s upper parking lot (off Olinda Street) and park in one of the designated curbside spaces to pick up your items.
Upon arrival, remain in your car and either text or call the staff inside the building to alert them. You can text the word ‘HERE’ to 714-750-8120 or call 657-242-4610 to speak with a staff member. Once the staff is notified you’ve arrived, they will place your requested items on the tray located next to your car. Lastly, after the staff member has stepped away, you can retrieve your items and enjoy!
Just remember, items are due back three weeks after being checked out. They can be returned in the Library book drops located on Olinda Street at your convenience. For more information, visit https://www.ylpl.org/curbside/.
