Brea will soon have its own Raising Cane’s location. Construction on the upcoming outpost for the Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based chicken finger chain is expected to start next summer. Raising Cane’s has been in expansion mode throughout Orange County for the better half of a year. The soon-to-rise, yet highly-disputed, location of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in Brea will eventually take shape in the Gaslight Square.
The Brea City Council recently denied an appeal trying to prevent Raising Cane’s from opening in the Gaslight Square. Now, the path has been cleared for property owner Manley Fanticola Holdings to proceed with the demolition of two buildings facing Imperial Highway and allow Raising Cane’s in the center. While many are excited about the upcoming new food option, others expressed their concerns regarding traffic and pedestrian safety. A major point of contention for the project surrounded Laurel Elementary Magnet School of Innovation & Career Exploration and the potential drop-off and pick-up area issues the new fast-food establishment could pose.
Raising Cane’s and its menu focuses on one thing, quality chicken finger meals. The restaurant serves fried chicken fingers made from fresh breast meat and customers can choose from an individual portion all the way up to family meals and catering platters. Side orders include french fries, Texas toast and coleslaw. To learn more about this fast-food chain, visit https://www.raisingcanes.com/.
